As part of our increased involvement with the local community, Leadbitter and the Bristol Evening Post are working in collaboration on a new initiative, ‘School Build SOS’. This initiative, which has been developed by Leadbitter, will give the opportunity for local schools to receive free building materials and one day of construction assistance for a small project which would not ordinarily gain funding from other sources.

The initiative, launched on 19th September in a double page spread, appeals to schools to come forward with requests for help. A shortlist will then be drawn up and students and teachers at the shortlisted schools will have the opportunity to collect tokens from the Bristol Evening Post as part of meeting the selection criteria and influencing the final selection process.

This competition will be repeated each term, the first term catering for primary schools, the second term for secondary schools and the third term an environmental project. The competition is open to schools in the Bristol and Greater Bristol area.
