This new innovative and landmark building has been built behind the existing college buildings at the Windmill Avenue Campus, with the existing buildings later demolished to form a new car park.

The new building comprises an administration wing, three-storey arts block, IT suites and a multi-purpose sports hall which offers four badminton courts, basketball or five-a-side football pitch and utilises the latest sports equipment. A tiered 170 seat performance centre/ theatre and integrated dance studio has been provided, along with other facilities including hair and beauty salon and fitness suite. Teaching facilities for special need students have been provided, and all facilities can be accessed via the central atrium, which houses a cafeteria and pedestrian lifts enclosed within a futuristic aluminium clad structure. The existing external playing field has been reprofiled as part of the works.

The Institute was able to continue their daily operations throughout the duration of the new build works.
