Client: Heatherwood and Wexham NHS Trust

This two-storey surgical services facility has been constructed to include six surgical theatres, recovery areas, seminar rooms, changing rooms and ancillary facilities together with refurbishment of the existing theatre block.

The works were undertaken within a confined hospital site and carried out in close proximity to the day to day operations of the hospital. Careful planning and scheduling was essential to maintain continual restricted access and storage facilities.

Works were undertaken in two phases to allow the hospital to decant their existing facilities and permit the refurbishment works to be carried out successfully alongside the ‘live’ daily operations of the hospital.
