Client: Sovereign Housing Association
This re-development scheme involved the demolition of 104 ‘no fines’ maisonettes and flats, partial re-alignment of James Street together with construction of seventy five houses and fifteen flats, some of which rise to four storeys.
Thirty homes for Shared Ownership and twenty homes for sale are pepper potted amongst the rented units with no discernable variance in appearance. In addition, Bennett Street has been reconstructed to form a ‘home zone’ which promotes priority to pedestrians rather than cars in this area.
The Client for this development was Sovereign Housing Association and other stakeholders involved with the scheme included Plymouth City Council, The South West Regional Development Agency, Devonport Regeneration Company, English Partnerships, The Housing Corporation, Residents Association & Community Groups and Police Liaison. |
