Client: Cotswold Water Park Society
The new visitor centre for Cotswold Water Park Society has provided an exhibition area, education centre, cafe-restaurant and retail units and the project included all associated works.
This project, when constructed, was one of the most sustainable buildings in the South West. It is heated and cooled using the power from the nearby lake and solar panels on the roof, as well as the toilets being flushed using harvested rainwater.
The centre was created to offer a sustainable tourist destination incorporating wildlife, leisure and relaxation. Visitors are able to gain information about walks, cycle routes and water sports facilities as well as providing an exhibition area, covering the development of the Water Park from the Jurassic era to present day. |
