Didcot’s new arts centre, a one-off bespoke design, is at the heart of the town centre redevelopment and will provide opportunities to develop outreach arts activities in Didcot and the surrounding area. It will comprise a 250 seat auditorium for drama, music and dance with a fully retractable seating system and is equipped with state-of-the-art art, sound, light and communication systems.

It will also offer four multipurpose arts education spaces, a visual art exhibition space and a café/bar. The accommodation includes dressing rooms, green room, scenery and technical stores, public foyer, box office and office space for arts centre staff. 

The extremely tight footprint and works access requires full engage with the local community and businesses to ensure public safety and continued trading and their full support and cooperation will remain central to the success of the construction phase.
