Client: Oxford University Fixed Assets Ltd
The University of Oxford was provided with a total of 127 flats and study bedrooms across three four-storey buildings via this Design and Build project. The accommodation units comprise a mixture of one and two bedroom studio flats and study bedrooms, flats for disabled students and one for a caretaker. The design is set around a courtyard providing students with a common room, communal kitchens and laundry facilities.
This site required close liaison with many different parties due to its location between the main railway line, an existing development and the river. Pre-planning was required to gain permits for cranage and restricted working hours were adopted to maintain peaceful living environments for nearby residents during the construction period.
