Client: University of Surrey

This project, on an live campus environment, consisted the design and construction of over 720 en-suite study bedrooms, staff and warden flats, common rooms, communal kitchens, laundry and IT communications suite and reception area.

The transportation network includes roads restricted to bus access only with pedestrians, cyclists and public transport having priority over cars throughout the campus. A network of high quality safe and attractive footpaths and cycle ways have been designed and secure cycle storage installed.

The development has provided an ‘urban village’ of high quality buildings within a high quality integrated landscape setting. A clear sense of place for individual residential and academic areas has been established and linked by sympathetic themes in design, layout and use of materials.
