This alliance of twelve RSLs (Solon (South West) HA, Cottsway HA, The Vale HA, Sovereign HA, Ability HA, Advance UK, Brunelcare, John Grooms Housing for the Disabled, Housing Solutions, Saxon Weald, Twynham HA and United HA) features some of Leadbitter’s previous repeat Clients and we are very pleased to have been accepted as one of their Constructor partners for this framework. The success of the Consortium has been highlighted by the achievement of being 2007 Finalists in the CIH Housing Awards.
The consortium has made a real commitment to collaborative working and information sharing and we have been actively involved in agreeing a range of processes, protocols and focus areas with the consortium members in order to achieve the key objectives.
A range of task groups were set up from day one to progressively deal with topics such as product and specification standardisation, application of modern methods of construction, health and safety prioritisation, cost reduction and supply chain integration and the Partnership has greatly benefited from the input and commitment by Leadbitter and all the Partners.
A consortium Extra-Net has been introduced to aid the flow, speed and access to information for all involved. Typical uploads of information shared via this system include:
- Lessons learnt case studies
- Employers requirements
- Standard house layouts
- Shared documentation resulting from the task groups
- Costing and tendering data
- Supply chain database
